This elegent young lady is the spitting image of her sire Kaspa, who is a 6 time champion and an outstanding restricted rose grey herdsire at Patagonia alpacas. Kaspa had a 1 year histogram of 16.1/4.1/25.2/1%. 3 year was 19.1/4.0/20.8/98.7% CF. His follicle skin testing, as done by Dr Norm Evans, was 59.25/mm2 with an S/P of 13.33. Her dam, Chanita has repeatedly produced qualty offspring including Davita who was the 2003 AOBA Nationals grey female color champion. She is fine, dense with a beautiful, uniform, high frequency, high amplitude crimp that extends onto a very expansive blanket. She is out of 2 greys and virtually spot free.
Sakura made number 5 on an individual top female poll for 2007 by an intensive search and data analysis performed by Ryan Maas, the results of which can be found in the archives of the Alpacanation forum in 2008! That conclusion was based on show record, weighted by level of show and competition...no small feat for a grey.
We have excellent fiber density studies on Sakura. A quick look at her daughter, RR Rose Godiva and review of her biopsies and histograms, will confirm that she transmits elite fiber
We now have 2 of Godiva's daughters and are now prepared to let her go. She has been an outstanding foundation female, with fabulous mothering skills and puts tons of weight on her cria. She herself is sturdy, and maintains an excellent body score through lactation. This is one "goose that lays golden eggs". Her last daughter, Francesca, just went to her first show and won Color Champion at 8 months of age. She is a stunner!
