Patagonia's Platinum
Dark Silver Grey, 1110661, Full Chilean
SOLID GREY, BRED FEMALE
In our search for a gray female without spots, we were fortunate to come upon Platinum. This elegant silver grey female has good bone and is conformationally correct with good size. Her fleece is uniform in color throughout her soft blanket. Her fleece is extremely fine with a buttery handle and good density. She has a calm disposition, an elegant presence, and a very proud upright stance. Platinum earned Second Place at the 2005 SEPA Alpaca Show.
In 2007, Platinum and our multiple award-winning 5-time champion grey herd sire, Navigator, gave us a beautiful dark silver grey female. Because this combination has produced an outstanding cria, we are breeding Platinum to Navigator's multiple color champion son, Commander, for another beautiful cria in June of 2008.
Medium Silver Grey, 828686, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
93% of ALL registered offspring of this MULTIPLE COLOR CHAMPION are GREY or BLACK when bred to one of those colors
85% of ALL registered offspring are either GREY or BLACK
79% of all registered cria BORN IN 2006 are GREY!
Navigator first caught our eye, and of many other breeders, at the 2002 All American Alpaca Futurity. This third generation gray and grandson of Macusani has outstanding conformation, full coverage throughout, a wonderful presence and disposition and the finest, densest fleece we've ever seen on a gray. Apparently, all the judges think so too. We are very proud that his first offspring on our farm, PH Navigator's Commander, earned 8 Blue Ribbons along with 5 Championship Banners. And, Navigator's other offspring are following in their sire's and big brother's foot steps.

PH Navigator's LADY GRAYCE - SOLD ! (Dark Silver Grey !)
SOLD ! Thank you Ruth & Gary of Tribute Alpaca Farm! What can we say? Platinum and Navigator have produced a beautiful dark silver grey girl for us. Grayce has no spots at all on her beautiful soft blanket and she tears around the field faster than all the other cria that happen to be older than her. Her dark, rich silver color has added favorably to her sire's amazing color production statistics.
MULTIPLE AWARD-WINNING GREY SIRE
Navigator's color statistics are incredible! They are in the mid 90% range grey or black when bred to grey or black and in the mid-high 80% range grey or black when bred TO ANY COLOR!
We would be interested to know if there is another sire who can match Navigator's color production statistics based on ARI records.
