Bonita should be an asset to any farm with both True Black and Light Rose Grey bloodlines. She has awesome conformation, great density and high frequency crimp. As you can see from her awards below, Bonita has never left the ring without a ribbon and as she has matured so have her awards!
After the AOBA Nationals, she will retire from the show ring. She is now bred to the multi-ribbon winner Black Peruvian Royal Forest.
Black Forest is a handsome black male that has proven himself and his fleece in shows around the U.S. He has outstanding fleece density and character. His presence, coverage and conformation are excellent.
He is owned in partnership with River's Edge Alpacas.
Update: Spice Girl is the 2009 FUTURITY BLACK COLOR CHAMPION!!! We hit a home run with this breeding to Bonita, our Multi-Champion black female bred to 1/2 Accoyo Black Peruvian Royal Forest. Spice Girl a 1/4 Accoyo has it all, first with her typey teddy bear head and perfect confirmation. Her fine fleece is very dense, bright, with consistant well defined high frequency crimp, unusual for a black.
SPICE GIRL JUST WON THE JUDGES' CHOICE AWARD AT THE 2009 BUCKEYE ALPACA SHOW. SPICE GIRL IS THE ONLY BLACK FEMALE SO FAR WE KNOW OF TO RECEIVE THIS PRESTIGES AWARD.
Spice Girl went to her first show and won a blue ribbon. Then went on to become COLOR CHAMPION! Jude Anderson was the judge and said she was the complete package! Jude went on saying that she usally doesn't give the COLOR CHAMPION to the juvenile's but this one is exceptional! Update: 2008 MAPACA Jubilee Show (Level V Show with over 1700 alpacas) Peter Kennedy (Judge's Comments) This alpaca is a ELITE BLACK ! Beautiful phenotype, and her fleece has great density, brightness with uniform architecture and character throughout, even on her underbelly. This girl is big bone and very correct.
ONCE IN AWHILE A BLACK FEMALE COMES ALONG WHO IS WHAT THE JUDGES' CALL A "TOTAL PACKAGE." SPICE GIRL IS SUCH A FEMALE! SHE IS ALREADY A 11x CHAMPION WHO HAS A HIGHLY-ADVANCED BLACK FLEECE ON AN EXTREMELY PHENOTYPICALLY BEAUTIFUL BODY!
