Henseforth Farm's Kate

Medium Brown, 817953, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Kate is one of our favorites; As of fall 2008, she has given birth to 7 crias.....ALL GIRLS (yes, you read that right; Kate has only produced female offspring!). Hence, the reason that she is part of our foundation herd.

Her last arrival (Candlelight's Golden Charm) was born 10 October 2008; this female was sired by our co-owned herdsire Snowmass Legacy's Golden Boy. She's fawn, feisty and gorgeous!

We're anxiously awaiting this year's female cria. The last time Kate was bred to Bordeaux, she produced Irish Crystal, a spitting image of her mom. We'd like to see another one, just a s nice as Crystal!

Kate is not for sale but her newest little bundle of joy will be. Check back this fall.

  Lucilio's Little Luc
    Medium Brown, 1152838, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

A true “chip off the old block”. Sired by Dom Lucilio, Lucilio’s Little Luc is following in his sire's winning ways. In full fleece, Luc won blue ribbons in his first two shows (2005 NAAS and 2005 PAOBA). During the fall 2005 events (2005 SEPA and 2005 Big E), Luc won blue ribbons again, this time in composite. He has great fiber, density, and conformation. "The complete package" quoting a world renowned judge. Luc continued his winning ways and in February 2006 was awarded the blue ribbon and brown color championship for his fleece at the Empire Fleece Extravaganza. His fleece won blue again at the 2006 Maryland Alpaca Show&Sale, blue and Reserve Color Champion (brown fleece) at 2006 MAPACA and blue at 2006 PAOBA. He also won blue in his shorn class at 2006 MAPACA. We are anticipating that Luc will develop into the herdsire that will pass on the great Dom Lucilio genetics.

Luc has settled a number of females this year and we're anxiously awaiting his first crias beginning 07

Candlelight's Lucille is the first offspring of our color champion Lucilio's Little Luc, sired by the herdsire of champions Dom Lucilio. Her soft, crimpy fleece shines even without the sun. Her dam Henseforth Farm's Kate has produced only female offspring, 6 straight. Kate is part of our foundation herd and is not for sale; however, we are willing to offer Lucille. We believe that she has the potential for great things and just maybe she'll be predisposed to produce only female offspring just like her dam!

Bred to Peruvian Savoy Truffle, Lucille gave birth August 2009 to Candleight's Virgil. We paln to rebreed Lucille this fall 2009. We are offering Lucille with her male cria at side and 3 complimentary breedings to any our Candlelight Farm Alpacas herdsires. Buy her now and choose the service sire for fall 2009.
(5 alpacas for the price of 1!)
