We have decided to put Haze on our sales list. I didn't think I would ever take her off of our foundation herd. Her 07 cria due within the month will not be included in her price, but we will include a free re-breed to either Andean Night or Travesura's Altiplano Treasure with this price. She has some color in her background, so we bred her to Andean Night to see if we can make a beautiful cria of color that we will keep, no matter if it's a girl or a boy. This was a really hard choice to put her on the sales list. Her first daughter, Esmeralda Olivia, is doing well in the show ring, and has the most beautiful fleece. We are expecting the same from her next cria! Haze has had NO health problems (BVD negative), and is a very easy keeper, breeder, birther (is that a word?)and should give years of great babies. We are looking to take our herd to darker colors, and that is the ONLY reason we aren't keeping her on our foundation list. This girl is nice, nice, nice!Haze has dens
ANDEAN NIGHT'S 2nd CRIA FOR OUR FARM IS ALSO A BEAUTIFUL GIRL!! TWO FOR TWO! Soleado's Dulcinea de la Noche is an amazing deep, rich brown carbon copy of her sire! Couldn't be happier with both of these girls. Night is just throwing beautiful babies.
ANDEAN NIGHT"S FIRST CRIA FOR OUR FARM WAS BORN TODAY: IT"S A GIRL!!! Ms. Primaddona had a beautiful 18.6lb medium fawn daughter. She is an incredible sable color. Pics to follow soon!
MAY UPDATE:Just saw the results from the 07 AAA Futurity: Andean Night's black juvi son took a 2nd place for the folks at Snowmass! Night's crias are starting to hit the show circuit and are doing great. Think what he can do for your showstring!
HAVE YOU SEEN THE SNOWMASS 2007 SALE CATALOG?! Andean Night's Medium Rose Gray daughter will be sold during the auction! Check out what Julie Skinner has to say about Andean Night, and then book your breeding! Unbelievable! We can't beilieve our good fortune. Snowmass
Sept 09: Here is one for the funny story file: Through a strange twist of fate, we just now learned that our Swiss Miss won the "Best Hand Award" at the 2009 TxOLAN Fleece Show! Best Hand added to her Res. Color Champ and 2nd place for fleece and 1st place in Bay Black Halter! It was a REALLY good show!
What a show! Missy's first show and she brought home 1st place in her bay black yearling female halter class AND Reserve Color Champion in the brown fleece division! Judge Wade Gease gave her 19/20 points for fineness & handle. Great way to start the 2009 show year thanks to Missy!
Missy took 2nd place at the 2008 AFCNA fleece show. Judge Sharon Loner gave her 18/20 for fineness & handle, and made the comment "wonderful fineness" on her scorecard! During her oral reasonings on the AFCNA show's DVD, Mrs. Loner said Missy's fleece was finer than the first place fleece! Missy's 2008 histogram tells us the same thing: AFD 17.3 for a Dark Brown girl bordering on Bay Black! Great job Missy!
Our third Andean Night daughter is stunning. Period. This little beauty is from Pachacuti's Haze, and she is the most striking color from a white dam. Her head and legs are black, her blanket started out the darkest chocolate brown you can imagine with minimal medulation but Missy keeps getting darker, and may well end up a bay black. I guess we'll find out at shearing time! You part her fleece and wow, crimp and brighness galore! Just lovely! Like her two half-sisters, she is covered in beautiful, crimpy, whisper soft fleece. It's hard to pick, but I think Missy is my favorite and the least I'd want to sell. Wonderful temperment, compact and straight conformation, AWESOME head, soft, Soft, SOFT fleece with lovely crimp.
