Sable is a lovely proven female from the Windy Ridge Ranch herd. Windy Ridge is know for their outstanding breeding program and their awesome alpacas. Sable is a great reflection of their breeding philosophy. She is a stunning DRG (or indefinite dark) out of a Peruvian Platinum son and a Shakleton daughter. She is a well grown girl with good size and bone. She has turned dark rose grey after she looked "Sable" at birth. Her fleece is luxuriously soft, fine, and bright. She carries superior density, and well-defined crimp. She her first cria was a handsome little boy sired by Rayo's Roso E Grigio. Sable comes from a female line with outstanding mothering ability, something she obviously has picked up as well.

Sable has been in the showring, and has proven that she belongs out there with the best! At the Deep South Alpaca Show, judge Sharon Loner praised her conformation, balance and growth. She noted the softness of handle, fineness, and density Sable was carrying and called her "impressive." One top breeder who examined Sable called her "exquisite". She comes from a family that holds their fineness for many, many years.

Sable sells bred to our AOBA and Futurity Champion SCA Peruvian Shawnee for a 2013 cria. Shawnee only has a handful of cria on the ground so far, but his cria have been improved several generations over their dams. Sable is a stunning female already, just think of the possibilities....
