Pomasqui
Medium Brown, 811557, Full Peruvian
Pomasqui is a beautiful, richly colored brown female, with an extremely proud stance and great conformation. She is as fluid and graceful an alpaca you will find. You will notice her right away, standing alertly in the pasture. She is a top notch alpaca, and one that would make any farm proud. We are pleased to have her here and we have decided she will likely stay with us forever...... however, her offspring can be viewed on our sales and sold list.
Pomasqui is a proven female, having had five healthy cria, all are completely impressive, and top quality. In 03', Pomasqui delivered a strikingly gorgeous dark silver grey Peruvian, 1/4 Accoyo, Ross son, Ross' Backdraft. He has Stud written all over him; he placed First in his class & received Reserve Color Champion. See him at right along w/ her son "Marlow", who is now standing stud at Alpacas of America. Marlow is said to be alot like his dam, strong extremely proud and alert with a calm disposition and fine, dense crimpy
MaRS Hutton
Medium Fawn, 1413878, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/2 Peruvian
We are pleased to offer MaRS Hutton for consideration as a herdsire. Hutton has wonderful, strong presence, great conformation and superior fleece. This young, now proven male, comes from loads of color, along with supporting a fine, dense fleece. Hutton's fiber is buttery soft, with matchstick bundles of a fine and rich color. (His 2005 micron was 17.0/3.5/20.6/0.5over30.) Hutton has 5 cria on the way in 2007.
Breeding to Hutton offers that possibility of rich color while not sacrificing fleece quality. His sire, David Shines, a medium fawn, is a Peruvian Felix son, and also carries Hemingway further back. His dam, MaRS Cassini is a lovely medium fawn from the true black, Bolivan Black Thunder. As you can see, Hutton has some heavy hitters in his lineage.
Hutton has been shown twice in halter and placed both times; Hutton placed 1st in Composite at the Alpaca Affaire 2005, and 3rd out of 11 in the 2005 Alpacalooza a large and competitive halter class. His flee
Pomasqui's Firefly is a pretty girl - a deep merlot color. We always hoped Fly's dam, Pomasqui would produce a cria that looked like herself, brown and beautiful. Well, on her third female in a row, she did just that...
Coming from a very dependable & productive dam, Pomasqui, being a quality dam came naturally for Fly. Let's not forget, her sire, Mars Hutton, has Bolivian Black Thunder, Peruvian Felix and Peruvian Hemingway in his lineage -lots of color with a uniformly crimped, dense fleece.
Fly's first cria arrived when we were not looking and she didn't miss a beat. She did a great job with her cria, taking to mothering with no issues. Fly's cria, Boomer, is a finely fleeced bay black: his color jumping through from his grandsires, SA Peruvian Black Epic & Bolivian Black Thunder.
