| | | Ice Princess is our best "mother". We have owned all of her offspring (Reykjavik, Ice Duchess, Icelander, White Russian, & now White Knight) but sold Ice Duchess and Icelander to Rockin' Schoolhouse Ranch in OK last year. Ice Princess is the daughter of Bolivian White Ice which is one of Alpacas of America's white herdsires with Bolivian ancestory. Princess is one of our more timid females in that she stands in the back of the herd when we are doing work around the corrals and is almost always one of the last ones in from the pasture when we round them up for the evening. She has an extremely nice disposition and her crias have almost the exact same disposition as their mom. They tend to be "home/mom bodies", are very quiet, and are never aggressive when it comes to feeding time. Princess has this great knack of producing offspring that are considerably better then her in almost every aspect and has given us ribbon winners EVERY YEAR. | | | We bought Peruvian Challenge from Stewart's Royal Alpacas and we are extremely happy with this addition to our herd. Density is the watchword with Challenge. Sandy and I have seen very few alpacas with density in their fleece like Challenge. His fineness and confirmation are great, too. Stewart's have been in the business for over 14 years and they said he was one of the very best they ever owned. He has produced some really top-notch offspring over the years. They liked him so much that they bought him back in 2005 to get some more crias from him in 2006. With almost 50 registered offspring on the ground, he is the most prolific of all of the Chaparral offspring. Farms that have Challenge offspring in their herd will receive a discount on his stud fee!! Please just mention you saw it on Alpaca Nation. We have one of his offspring for sale as a junior herdsire, Stud Muffin, who is out of one of our very best females (sheared the most fleece of all the females last year). | |
