Vidal is a mature striking macho with his heavy bone, magnificent head and wonderful coverage of dense fiber. His show career spanned six years with ribbons in both halter and fleece. A few of the judges comments: Mike Safley 2002 AROW 1st place composite halter "strong structure, excellent uniform fiber" Amanda VandenBosch 2002 NW Alpaca Showcase: COLOR CHAMPION "excellent conformation and uniformity of fiber throughout the blanket" Jill MacLeod 2005 Alpacapalooza, 1st place full fleece halter "good structure, excellent fiber density, good uniformity of crimp, handsome head" Jane Tellier 2005 AOBA NATIONAL : 1st place shorn halter "excellent bone, head and presence, exceptionally large testicles" He has proven himself as an outstanding herdsire improving fleece characteristics over the dams with a gender ratio of 50/50. Vidal's crias have all been solid colors from black, browns, fawns and white. His fleece was sorted and graded in 2006. The sorter was so impressed by Vidal's uniformity of character that she sent her own femlae for breeding. The resulting 5 month old cria has "consistent fiber lacking the longer primaries and little to no guard hair in the chest and belly. She will be a top line female!"
