Paul Revere’s sire, Accoyo Tsunami was imported in 1998. He had a soft rolling skin and a bundled fleece. His dam is an even rarer Accoyo because she is a B-line ( fine fleeced) female. Both were selected by Greg Mecklem with the guidance of Don Julio. Accoyo’s Paul Revere is a little smaller than other Accoyo males but that is consistent with his B-line pedigree. The B-line animals exhibit 20% less body weight, 20% finer fleece and 20% less density. The hall mark of a B-line male is his Coefficient of Variation, or C of V. Paul Revere’s C of V was 18% (20.7 microns) at his first shearing and 20% (20.7 microns) at his second shearing. In addition, he has perfect conformation and presence.
