Dark Shaddow's book is now closed to outside breedings. We will still be using him in our own breeding program and you will be able to obtain his genetics through purchasing his offspring or a female bred to him. Dark Shaddow was awarded the prestigious 2006 Reserve Herdsire of the Year! Shaddow is what is considered truely an "IMPACT" male. He is the only true black herdsire in the US that we know of that has produced the most champion award winning offspring and is the most consistent. Fifteen awards including "Get of Sire", 3 championships, presence, crimp, density, fineness, luster, conformation, thick topknot(the densest we have ever seen) and coverage. Shaddow is as black as coal and his fleece is non-fading even at 10 years of age. He has no gray fibers at all like most true black males of his age that we have seen. Shaddow's offspring have been taking the showring by storm, having won 42 championships (17 alone in 2006) and several blue ribbons. 3 of his offspring (all color)
Carina was very competetive in the show ring placing in the top of her class each time she was shown. Carina will capture your attention with her adorable full bonnet and pleasing phenotype. She has excellent conformation and her fleece is very dense and crimpy. Carina is full sister to Grand River Mezcal, 2005 AOBA National Show Reserve black color champion, and also to Grand River Amaretta, 2x champion and 5x blue ribbon winner. Carina comes from a lineage of champions and champion producers. Her grandmother, Julia, has also produced 2 champion offspring and several champion grandkids. Carina's half sister and aunt is Grand River Raeka, 4x champion female, who produced the 2009 black female AOBA Color Champion. You won't go wrong with Carina and won't find such champion genetics at this very competetive price elsewhere. In Carina's first show she won 1st and Reserve Champion as a juvenile. Experienced breeders have recognized these bloodlines as well as the name of her Dam, even though we never showed Cinderella. It's the fact that Cinderella each time with the breeding to Dark Shaddow has given us only champions and always blue ribbon winning offspring with each male she has been bred to.
