Ophelia is the star of our Peruvian white breeding program. A product of two 1998 imports, that brings together the strengths of the Peruvian Macusani and Huaripina farms. Ophelia's fleece is dense (which comes from both parents) and fine (which comes from her dam who at one year of age had a 17.3 micron count). She has been a great mother to her four cria. Her latest, Dupioni's Alleria, is an outstanding example of what she can produce.
Dupioni will be in Oklahoma from November 2007 until early Spring 2009. Dupioni's Gentle Ben has begun settling females and will be available throughout the year - why not get a discounted 2008 breeding to Gentle Ben?
Dupioni's crias are taking home the ribbons! Each one shown to date has taken a ribbon. Two of Dupioni's offspring are color champions - Dupioni's Light April Rain and Dupioni's Gentle Ben, fawn Color Champion at the 2007 National Conference (fleece).
Dupioni is a very uniform light fawn herdsire with very, very dense and beautifully bundled fleece. His fleece exhibits consistent finger bundles with high-frequency crimped lockets. He is ultra fine with virtually no visible guard hairs. We are confident that this purchase from Snowmass Alpacas brings amazing quality to our breeding program and offers the same to yours.
Dupioni now has more than 20 crias on the ground - and he has produced grey! He's producing great color with extreme shine.
Alleria is a 1/2 Accoyo, Full Peruvian daughter of our own "Lilly's Accoyo Dupioni," the resemblance is unbelievable -- dense fiber; tight, thick top knot; perfect conformation; incredible fiber character. Her first cria, a female, is sired by Snowmass Legacy's Charmer (1/2 Accoyo, Full Peruvian son of Legacy) and she is just awesome.
Alleria brings VERY LIMITED bloodlines - her grandsire Amadeus resides in Germany and her other grandsire, Elitus, does not have a lot of kids on the ground. Elitus' dam and only other sibling are no longer in the United States. Alleria's grand-dam "Accoyo Lilly" is an Accoyo Import and a foundation female in the well-respected Snowmass herd.
We are keeping Alleria's 2009 cria and offer FREE board for Alleria until her cria is weaned.
Here is a 1/2 Accoyo Full Peruvian proven and bred female for just $5K - cash price! ($7,000 if financed - 0% interest, 12 month financing.) Either way, it's an unbelievable deal. Contact Kathy Zabar for details at kz@vintagealpacas.com or call her at: 614-804-2474.
