I saw my first alpaca in Sept 2007 at the National Farm Days. I had my 4 grandaughters overnight, and saw an ad in the local paper, and thought it would be something fun and different to do with the girls. We visited a farm a few miles from us, and something about that visit kinda stuck with me. I started visiting other farms in my area (and there are a LOT of them!!), and by December, had purchased my first girl, Morning Pearl, from Chris Barty & Eric Lorince of Alpaca Sunrise Farm.
