We live on the family farm in Plato Center, IL which is 8 miles from Elgin & 40 miles directly west of Chicago, IL. Gordon's father was born here. In 2000 he fell & broke his ankle. Recovery was slow & discouraging for him, so he called for help. We were living in CA at the time; Gordon had been working with computers in Silicone Valley & I was researching alpacas as a result of recovering from a broken leg. Sitting at a desk all day didn't renew the muscles very fast so I needed a more physical job. When our family heard we were coming back home, they said,"Now Jill can have her alpacas!"...
