 "Dar a Luz" is a Spanish phrase meaning to give birth. Literally it means "to give to the light." We chose this name to reflect Judy's long time occupation as a nurse-midwife.
Dar a Luz Alpacas began with the purchase of a Huacaya named Princess Anna in 2004. We've been expanding slowly since then (we're in no particular hurry) and have since added both Huacayas and Suris to our herd.
