 Welcome to Independence Farm!
After raising beef cows for more than 30 years, we decided to work with a more gentle, intelligent animal: the alpaca. Once Ken, a financial adviser figured the tax benefits it was a no brainer. Our first alpacas were delivered on Good Friday 2007 and we have been enjoying them ever since. It is a thrill to see the birth of new crias and watch them struggle to get up on those wobbly baby legs. Then within an hour or two they are racing around the field.
