Our first experience at breeding alpacas came in early 2008 when we took over a small herd of alpacas (seven females, two males and one guard llama, Larry). We hauled six of the "girls" to High Meadow Alpaca Farm in Tennessee to be bred -- all "drive by." We had two successful breedings, probably a good thing considering our
inexperience with handling births at that time. The first two crias were males. One of them, Pick Your Partner, received a first and reserve champion as a juvenile at his and my first show. What a way to start!
We now have more than thirty animals. All breedings have been exclusively to high-end herdsires Snowmass Millennium, Peruvian Jeremiah, Peruvian Playboy, Jeremiah's Jay Gatsby, Peruvian Candy Man, Gathering Storm, MFI Navarone, MFI Lethal Weapon, Rumm...
