 Originally established in 1999 in Ohio(as Harvest Home Suri Farm),Bozeman Alpaca Traders is a small alpaca breeding ranch, family owned & operated. We're located in the Bozeman area, in southwest Montana. Our ranch design features a European-inspired barnhome, offering us the unique ability to live above our herd; any closer then we'd be in the stalls! Our pastures are enclosed by a predator-proof fencing system and our extensive irrigation system is state of the art- all designed to provide the utmost in security and care for our herd; what we and our customers have come to demand!
Beginning our alpaca herd with two excellent female imports and a superlative junior herdsire, we've established a herd of highly competitive quality; offered at reasonable prices with honesty and integrity.
Now in our 9th year of operation, we are pleased to have bred and raised ribbon-winning cria; many of whom sold to very satisfied customers.
Our original foundation females were hand-selected for importation by leaders in the alpaca industry. Our domestic herdsires have won multiple blue ribbons in various classes in the show ring as juveniles through adulthood. This winning combination has resulted in offspring noted for their outstanding conformation, fleece and disposition.
Our 2008 production is underway with the birth of 4 crias as of September 1; one more due in October. Once again, we see improvement with each successive generation!
In keeping with our pioneer spirit,Bozeman Alpaca Traders is one of the founders of Yellowstone Alpaca Breeders Association, the first and only alpaca breeders' organization in Montana. Established in 2008, YABA endeavors to support breeders in the tri-state area of Montana, Idaho and Wyoming through education, networking and strategic planning. For more information, please visit:

We specialize in breeding elegant suri alpacas for correct conformation, fabulous fleece, and delightful dispositions. All our alpacas are halter broken and lead trained. Our herd has tested negative for BVDV, and we routinely test for parasites. We offer 0% financing of your alpaca purchase with 20% down. Our alpacas carry ARI registration (except those sold as pet quality) along with superlative customer service. Customer service from Bozeman Alpaca Traders starts BEFORE the sale - we want our clients to feel confident in caring for their new alpacas. With our backgrounds in newborn medicine, finance,and marketing, we offer our clients a broad range of support services not commonly found in the alpaca community. We work with clients to assist them in learning all aspects of routine husbandry if they are new to the alpaca industry, and offer the established breeder advanced guidance and advice on alpaca health and business topics.
