With the large number of alpaca farms to read about on AlpacaNation, it becomes important to "cut to the chase", so to speak, and tell what is really important to know about us without boring you with excessive verbage.
-Our farm was established in 1994.
-Our farm is conveniently located at the junction of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois. We are three hours from Chicago, five hours from the Twin Cities, five hours from St. Louis, and less than two hours from Madison.
-We view quality above and beyond country of origin of the alpacas--we have good Peruvians, Chileans, Bolivians and combinations thereof.
-As a practicing veterinarian, our herd is closely watched both from a veterinary perspective as well as from a lifelong involvement in livestock.
-We have gathered what we consider to be the BEST OF THE MIDWEST in stud quality including black, white, grey, and fawn. See our AlpacaNation site for those males.
-Our success in the show ring speaks for itself. We feel very strongly that while the show ring does not make quality, it allows other alpaca owners to see the direction we are aiming for in alpacas--the best conformation and fiber that we can create.
-We board for six individual farms.
-Our fiber is totally made into yarn--Linda is the onsite yarn expert!
-We enjoy starting new farms and continuing the support that we can provide both from knowledge of veterinary medicine and fifteen years in the alpaca business. Ask any one of the farms we have started--we will give you the list!
-We love to have farm visits! Plan on two to four hours, some good conversations about alpacas, and some of Linda's good cookies/pie/breads--whatever is in the oven!

| | Breeder Biography As our 2009 spring show season has ended, we look forward to the new season this fall. Our dominant Orlando Cloud grey male, Tsunami, ended his show career as a juvenile with five C/R championships and his paternal half-sister, Cirrus, showed to three C/R championships including the GWAS show in Denver.
Tsunami and grey entourage will hit the show circuit at the Indiana show in early October. The show herd will include Ark's Dubuque, a light rose-grey juvenile male with a 17 AFD. | | | | | | | |
