The old west still lives in the winds that move across the wide-open spaces of Windrider Suri Ranch. This is the old west rooted in integrity, pride, family and hard work.

The genetics in our herd focus on two of the best Accoyo bloodlines in the nation- Accoyo Bruxo and Accoyo Uribe (Durazno). Their prepotency is proven over and over again with scores of award winning progeny displaying the attributes of the stunning ideal Suri- Luster, density, nose to toe coverage, bone, lock structure and presence. One of Accoyo Bruxo’s most famous offspring, DDF Peruvian Macgyver, owned by Sierra Bonita Alpacas, has won the prestigious “Herdsire of The Year” award 5 years in a row at The Futurity. Macgyver is the sire of many of the Suri alpacas here at Windrider Suri Ranch.

Our alpacas' presence, conformation, fleece and vigor are consistent traits highlighted by the judges’ comments in the show ring. We're producing winning results- desirable qualities to look for, especially for those just getting started in the alpaca livestock business, and certainly beneficial for established breeders adding to their herd.

We stress to the new breeder the importance of quality, healthy breeding stock as the first step to success. The alpacas we offer for sale are the result of a deliberate and well thought out breeding plan emphasizing pedigree, show results and accurate herd record keeping, producing maximum genetic gain for our customer’s investment.
