YB Normal Suri Alpacas (NY)

Welcome to YB Normal Suri Alpacas, formally YB Normal Farms. As always this is a place where happy humans and contented camelids live a peaceful coexistence (most of the time). Due to the passing of my partner Peter Harrison in January my farm is going through many changes. As Peter said it perfectly: this is a symbiotic relationship between us and the alpacas, we take care of our alpacas needs and they take care of ours. Now the alpacas and I will do the same. The farm is currently located in beautiful Chautauqua County in Western NY and the facilities and climate are ideally suited for raising alpacas. The farm name came about as an expression of our belief that breeding a beautiful, gentle animal you don't have to kill to make a living is an enjoyable lifestyle that is just a little bit out of the ordinary. A member of AOBA since 1999, YB Normal farms has come along way. The new name YB Normal Suri Alpacas says it all. With the sale of most of the huacaya herd I will focus on my first love the Suris. If you are an existing breeder or just getting started YB Normal Suri Alpacas has the knowledge and experience to help you start or continue on with your own alpaca adventure. My herd consists mostly of full Peruvian bloodlines but I am a believer of Alpacas without borders and have been breeding bloodlines from all countries.
