Due to serious health issues we are forced to sell as quickly as possible. All serious offers will be considered. We have many males that would be perfect for a fiber farm and would donate a select few to 4-H, etc. We are committed to improving the quality of our herd through careful breeding of sound animals with fine fiber and conformation. Currently we have background names of Peruvian Royal Fawn, Peruvian Chocolateer, PPeruvian Vengador, Bueno, 4Peruvian Royal Condor and Rockamundo. 30 minutes east of 31 & 20 minutes west of 131, just off US 10. Farm visitors are welcome, please call ahead. |

What started out to be our wilderness get-a-way (that would always remain in it's natural state of forestry) has been partially transformed to barns and pasture...all because of these wonderful creatures. It was always our intent to use the 80 acres for a simple week-end vacation spot. Then we built the cabin and life was good on the week ends. 'We can just go do nothing, except mow grass in the summer if we can get it to grow.' That lasted a year. When the question came up "Why don't we do something with all that property so we can stay there all the time?" it never entered our minds it would include alpacas! After reading and investigating and dealing with skepticism we finally went for a farm visit. My, how our life has changed since then! What used to be a weekly hour and a half commute north to the cabin is now a daily commute south to work! Oddly, spending 3 hours a day on the road is not a problem when the end result is the very lifestyle we dreamed of. Retirement is still a bit off for both of us, but we are enjoying life to the fullest after those long work days! |
