 We have moved from Ohio to South Carolina and are down-sizing our herd. Our new location does not have the ability to house alpacas, so we made the decision to have Tim Hirt, of Erie Blue Alpacas in Ohio, care for them. With that decision, we realize we need to sell-off a few alpacas to have a more manageable herd. Should you have the need for financing, we have many creative options available. Bobcat Alley Alpaca Ranch specializes in mostly suri alpacas with a few huacaya alpacas. Our first purchase was in 2001 with a 4 in 1 package. Since that time we have carefully chosen each additional alpaca with quality and genetics in mind.
We have raised horses for over 20 years and have taken that love for animals and put it into the Alpaca industry. That move has proven to be one of the best family decisions we ever made.
We (Tim and Jackie), along with our 4 children (Sarah, Quintin, Daniella, and Brody) have enjoyed the industy and look forward to being a part of the many changes the future holds for the alpaca industry. How did we get our name? Tim has been selling Bobcat front-end loaders for over 20 years. After attending a few shows, he became known as the "Bobcat guy". Tim is always willing to answer any questions you may have regarding skid steer loaders.
What do we plan for the future? Due to our relocation, we have regretfully made the decision to downsize our herd, although we will continue to produce and sell top quality alpacas. We have full Accoyo in both Suri and Huacaya's that we will continue to breed for full Accoyo offspring. We will also continue to breed for color while striving for a high quality fleece as the end result.
Why is our farm slogan "Where the fun begins"? That's easy! We truly enjoy this industry. Owning alpacas has proven to be a fun and rewarding lifestyle for the whole family. |
