About Mount Ampato Alpacas, LLC

Image is being processed by ANWhen we bought our first alpacas, we wanted an unusual but memorable name, one that would reflect the South American heritage of the alpaca. As a result Mount Ampato Alpacas, LLC, is named after a volcano in the Andes Mountains of Peru, an area from which so many beautiful alpacas have come.

While we expect our herd to continue to grow in size, we plan to remain small enough to be able to continue to provide individualized, hands-on attention to all of the animals on our farm. We strongly subscribe to the Camelidynamics practices taught by Marty McGee Bennett in handling our alpacas. In fact, Cheryl is a Certified Camelidynamics Handler and an Apprentice Practioner. There's still much to be learned, but we're working on that every day. Farm visitors are always pleasantly surprised with the relative ease with which our alpacas can be handled.

We have been fortunate to work with alpaca owners from several farms who have been very helpful to us in establishing our farm, and we will provide the same assistance to our customers and friends. We offer superior customer service before, during, and after the sale. Currently, we are members of AOBA, OABA, AFCNA, ARI, ALSA, and a new organization, SWOAB (SW OH Alpaca Breeders). Visitors are always welcome!

Mount Ampato Alpacas, LLC is BVD free.
