Welcome to Sweet Fleece Farm. We are located in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Berks County, Pennsylvania, an area locally known as "Little Switzerland". Our farm features a 210 year-old stone farmhouse, separate stone summer kitchen and several other outbuildings. The barn is a converted dairy barn with more than ample room for our livestock, hay and straw. We purchased our first alpacas in 2002. They love roaming the rolling pastures and have a grand view of the countryside as they sleep under the stars. They share the farm with our Buff Orpington and Araucana chickens and our three adorable pet cats. We organically raise berries, melons, and other produce. Our tillable land rotates from corn to soybeans to wheat, an orchard shades a hillside and a pine-filled slope on the edge shelters an abundance of wildlife. Our diverse herd contains some of the top genetics from around the country. Our goal is to breed quality alpacas that are friendly and relaxed, have good conformation and marketable fleece. |

We are excited about our 2009 crop of crias. So far we have two new boys, both healthy solid brown boys. We are looking forward to the coming of our fall crias. |

| | Breeder Biography Eric & Nancy continue the tradition of farming in Berks County, PA begun by Eric's Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Some crops are traditional, i.e. eggs, potatoes, corn, soybeans. Others are more unusual, i.e. berries, garlic and of course alpacas. It's the alpacas in the pasture that are stopping traffic. | | | | | | | |
