We are loving every minute of this business and would like to share with you what it has to offer. Your success is our number one committment!
Our farm mixes "old fashioned" work ethics with the new visions and ideas of the twenty first century. Our family has been successfully farming for many years. We have grown and sold market produce and products for the last seven years and for six years have owned alpacas! We are experienced in pasture management which made the addition of alpacas to our farm a natural transition. Good genetics mean nothing without proper nutrition. We take pride that our farm is one hundred percent family owned and operated with everyone contributing to its success. While some of our fiber is sent out for processing, all of our finished products are made on the farm. When time allows, we try to make as much home spun yarn as possible. This business is truely a family affair! Our philosophy on alpacas is a simple one. We love to keep company with these truely majestic animals. We love when they interact with us, but we also try not to "force" our affection on them and believe this mutual respect allows for a happier, healthier, herd. This approach is really what sets us apart from rest! We understand that these animals have survived thousands of years without our help and that our assistance is merely to maximize their health and efficiency. Our animals are halter trained slowly, utilizing the TTEAM methods. Carl heads up this area as he has been instructing and training canines for the last nine years. Our farm is small, but our vision is large and diverse. Keeping our herd small allows us to capitalize on our fiber uses as well as provide you with our full committment and support well beyond your alpaca investment. Hidden Views Farm Alpacas can make your dream of alpaca ownership a reality! We are proud members of AOBA, AOBA speakers, VAOBA, ARI, MAPACA, and VA Farm Bureau where Carl serves on the board |

Our family has been involved with the ARCHWOOD GREEN BARN FARMERS MARKET for the last seven years. In 2004 we opened an Alpaca Shop to highlight our alpacas, the alpaca lifestyle along with providing our 100% alpaca products. Yarn, roving and handmade items from our alpacas are available for purchase. We sell out of yarns early in the season. If you are interested in purchasing yarn put your order in before processing to ensure that you don't miss out. Weather permitting, we bring a couple of our animals to educate and allow our customers to enjoy these magnificent animals. The market is open every Sunday from May through the last weekend in October from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
From Washington D.C. take Interstate 66 West to exit 31, The Plains, Va. Make a right at the bottom of the ramp and the barn is your first right. |
