We fell in love with alpacas in the spring of 1999 so we have been enjoying our herd for 10 years now! We bought a yearling rose grey and two yearling silver grey Huacaya females, adding a 4th silver grey female in 2000. Our crias have gone to South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and California, with several remaining in Colorado so we can see our "grandchildren." Two of these placed 2nd and 3rd in the black female yearling class at the 2007 ABR Fall Festival. Our sire Vanderbilt's dark rose grey male cria received a blue ribbon at the 2008 Great Western Alapca Show. We are also delighted that Ashley's cria Carime Rose was awarded COLOR CHAMPION at the 2005 Txolan show, and our true black Tristan Oreo's fiber was awarded a RESERVE CHAMPION RIBBON at the 2006 Estes Park Wool Market! We had three males in 2005. All three were entered in halter and/or fleece shows and all won ribbons. Not every farm can say that 100% of their crias in a given year won ribbons! In 2006 we had three female crias, all light colored. All three of them have won ribbons in halter and fleece shows as well as two Spin-Off blue ribbons for one of them. We give unending support to all of our clients and answer all questions as soon as possible. We feel it is important to have animals that are easy to handle: all of our alpacas are haltered, led, and weighed weekly, come running when we call them, and like to eat snacks from our hands. We will work with each client on the financial part of buying our alpacas, offer free boarding for 6 months for our females, 3 months for our males, and pay transportation costs to their new home. We love hugging our investments! |

Other breeders and shearers from Colorado, from out of state, and even New Zealand, plus veterinarians, have commented on how friendly our animals are. They have said things like, "Wow, you must spend a lot of time with your animals--it shows!" We offer hands on seminars for giving shots, doing nail trims, training, etc. as well as fiber and finance seminars. Alpacas are a continous learning experience for all of us! |

| | Breeder Biography We both grew up on farms in North Dakota but have lived in Colorado since 1976. Ed works full-time as a family practice physician. Marjean worked for a small animal veterinarian for five years but now has retired from that to take care of the alpacas and do foster kitten/cat care for a couple organizations. | | | | | | | |
