 Swisher Creek Farm is located east of Columbus Ohio in beautiful, rural Jefferson Township, known for its small horse farms and equine communities. We became acquainted with alpacas several years ago and it was love at first sight.
We began our adventure as alpaca farmers with two foundation females and one weanling that we had to have because she was so special. Our herd has grown to thirty-five animals. We selectively breed for continued improvement in the conformation, fleece and health of our herd. We have full Peruvian and a combination of Chilean and Peruvian animals from Accoyo Victor, Accoyo Plantel, Cordero Inca Danseur, Caligula, Black Magic, Andean Gold, Augusto, Zephyrus, Royal Fawn and Show Me The Money bloodlines.
As the years passed our love for the animals has remained constant. However, we have also grown to appreciate the renewable resource these animals provide. Until you have worn something made from alpaca or you have worked with the fiber to produce a one-of-a-kind item, you cannot fully understand our love for these animals.
Our Gift Shoppe features both hand-made items as well as a full line of alpaca products made in Peru. Our goal is to acquaint people not only with the animal, but also with the uniqueness and versatility of alpaca fiber.
We are proud members of the Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association (AOBA), the Ohio affiliate (OABA), the Alpaca Registry (ARI), the Suri Network and The Alpaca Network of Central Ohio (ANCO)www.alpacanetworkofcentralohio.com These organizations are working to improve the U.S. Alpaca Herd and develop a U.S. Fiber Industry.
