Our Mission: To simply raise and produce the highest quality healthy alpacas and fiber, for the benefit of the breed and the people who purchase them. Education, community involvement, and making new friends and having fun add the finishing touch. |

News Flash: The National Zoo in Washington, DC has added alpacas and they purchased from us. We made the cover of "Zoo Goer" magazine and will had an article published about the process in the Summer 2008 "Alpacas Magazine". We are very excited and proud. (Can you tell?)
Morning Moon Alpacas is a family owned and a hands-on family operated farm. With the exception of necessary veterinary visits, we manage our animals by ourselves on a daily basis. By working closely with our vet and attending current seminars, we have become proficient in the many areas of herd health management. Safety and sanitary inspections are conducted daily to maintain our high standards and the animal's well-being. We honestly love our alpacas and the lifestyle we have with them and look forward to our daily interaction.
We actively work with our fiber daily as well. In fact alpaca fiber was what got us started. Knitting, weaving, spinning, crocheting and dyeing are frequent activities at the farm. When you purchase an animal from us, we give fiber customer support, too!
We love fiber so much that we have opened a yarn shop, My Favorite Yarn Shop, in Warrenton, Virginia with our friend Dina Callow. We are Mike & Dianne Six. Together with our children, personally tend our distinctive herds of fiber producing animals each & every day. With our professional backgrounds in management, consulting & sales, our attention to detail, organization & excellent customer service have been applied to our newest venture, the farm.
