 We raise award-winning alpacas in North Texas, just south of Dallas. I'm not sure if we found alpacas or they found us. There is something special about these "regal" animals that calms the human spirit. We were first introduced to these gentle creatures through Janet's interest in the fiber arts. After extensive research we purchased our first alpaca, Boerne, the second daughter of a then-promising herdsire named Dom Lucilio. Talk about your good luck...Dom Lucilio, whose cria have won over 60 color championships, now holds the distinction of being one of the highest selling alpacas in history.
Our philosophy is simple. We buy quality females and breed them to the best herd-sires available. The bloodlines represented in our alpacas come from some of the finest males in the USA...Caligula, Poseidon, El Nino, Pluro, Hemingway, Royal Fawn, Vengador, Victor, Fabio and Yupanqui. Cria with correct conformation and outstanding fiber characteristics prove that these sound breeding decisions lead to quality results.
We were fortunate to have some wonderful alpaca mentors when we were getting started. We welcome the opportunity to do the same for others. We would love to show you our alpacas and Janet is always excited to show her Fiber Studio and share her passion for "what to do with all that fiber". We are one of the few ranches that can show you how to take the fiber from fleece to finished product.
