Wow! We really did go from summer to winter this year! The temperatures quickly headed into the teens at night after we saw 90 degrees at the end of September. Quite the shift. So the crias are bouncing around early and late in the day with coats while they spend the noon hours sleeping in the sun.
We were blessed with 10 females and 3 males this season, and lots of gorgeous fleeces! God is gracious to us!
As we announced some months back, we are turning our attention to breeding for WHITES & LIGHTS with SUPERFINE FLEECE. Our plan is to sell down our colored males and females, as well as those we know throw colored offspring when bred to light. Though it will take some time to turn our course, we are excited about our decision. We hope to eventually produce micron counts in the low teens, and great shear weights to go with them. For those of you seeking color, you will have the opportunity to purchase some of our colored animals at very resonable prices. Some of these are gorgeous with superb pedigrees and low micron fleeces. As a side note, we did have some amazing colors born this year, and we might need to keep a couple. One little brown boy has a very bright brown fleece with coverage all over his stocky little body. I just have to see how that one matures before listing him for sale...the best laid plans, you know...:)
Our bloodlines include Peruvian Augusto, Peruvian Bueno, PPeruvian Caligula, PPPeruvian Cahuide, PPeruvian Leon, 4Peruvian Legacy, Peruvian Hemingway, PPeruvian Vengador, PPeruvian Victor, 5Peruvian Chaccu, Snowmass Casanova, and others.
We would love to have you visit the farm and see exactly what we have to offer. Our guest quarters are very comfortable, in the barn but separate from the hay. :) It would be our pleasure to have you stay with us and get your hands on our beautiful alpacas. And if you are from other parts of the country, you will be awed by the beautiful hills of the Palouse! We look forward |

We desire to provide servide that will surprise and delight our customers. We want to go the extra mile in exceeding your expectations. All qualified purchases of breeding females come with 60 days board on our farm, and a reasonable fee for agistment should you want to continue beyond that time. If you presently have alpacas that need special veterinary care, we are blessed to have the Washington State University Vet school just 15 miles away. We would be happy to board your animals while they are being treated. | | Breeder Biography What do you get when you combine a farmer, a salesperson and a herd of alpacas?? Fun!! Eddie farmed the ground under and around Grazing Hills for many, many years. Karil sold pharmaceuticals, medical services and mortgages. Eddie still works some at farming while Karil hangs out in the barn. Whenever possible, they love to work together with the animals and enjoy having calm, friendly alpacas. | | | | | | | |
