Established in 2004 Black Woods Farm is located in Cherryfield, Maine a scenic Down East community just a short drive from Acadia National Park and minutes from the working ocean harbor of Narraguagus Bay. The farm is located on 15 lush acres at the foothills of the mountainous wilderness area surrounding Tunk Lake, one of the deepest cold-water lakes in Maine. The Narraguagus River, once world renowned for its Atlantic Salmon fishing,is just across the road. |

Our philosophy at Black Woods Farm is: "If something is worth doing, it is worth doing your best!" We are breeding our alpacas to achieve a diverse color range, outstanding conformation and the highest quality fiber. This will be our 6th year in the alpaca industry. We have encountered the hurdles involved in building a successful alpaca business from the ground up. We are able to share this experience with our clients and provide them with support before, during and most importantly, after the sale. Alpaca farming isn't just a business, it's a way of life, a GREAT one! We hope to see you at our farm soon! |
