 Shadow Oaks Alpacas has been a breeder of fine suri alpacas located in Ventura County, California since 2003. We currently board most of our animals at Flying Dutchman in Bend, Oregon. Our goal is to have a ranch of our own once we have finished raising our current herd of 4 boys. The raising of our 2-legged herd has its own challenges requiring constant care and lots of prayer. In our opinion, all 4 are show winners!
We have learned the importance of breeding quality females to top bloodlines to produce the finest alpaca. Pursuing this goal we have collected some of the finest females for our foundation herd. Some of these females took alot of serching others happened to fall into our laps by being in the rigt place at the right time. We are still looking and breeding for the best alpaca fiber grown on the most beautiful alpacas in the world. This is a tall order to fill but is sure is a whole lot of fun persuing it.
We are very excited about our partnership with Flying Dutchman Alpacas, LLC in Young Accoyo Carmello and Captain's Picasso. These two herdsires are genetic powerhouses. We have bred our best females to these two males and anxiously await for their crias to hit the ground.
