Agua Ausente - The Absence of Water - is a small family ranch located near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains just outside Loveland Colorado.
Since 2002, we have maintained a small herd of Huacaya Alpacas, hand selected for excellence, and selectively bred for continued improvement of the health of the animals and the quality of their fleece.
Like you, we are concerned about bio-security when alpacas come to us. Being a small ranch, we are able to observe each individual alpaca daily. This is sometimes just not possible on the bigger ranches.

To help ensure the bio-security of Agua Ausente Alpacas, and to protect your precious alapcas, as well as our own herd, we require some safety precautions for each alpaca entering our ranch.
1. Proof of negative BVDV test for each alpaca. 2. A current health certificate (within 30 days) from a licensed veterinarian showing the alpacas is in good health and is free of any internal or external parasites. 3. A copy of health records showing the alpaca is up to date on CD&T and deworming protocols. |
