 Welcome to Sunset Acres, a small alpaca farm nestled in rolling hills near the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shennandoah River. We purchased our initial herd in April 2004.
We specialize in huacaya alpacas with a goal of producing animals with excellent conformation and outstanding fleece. Our growing herd contains alpacas with a variety of colors: white, beige, light fawn, dark fawn, brown, bay black, and grey. The bloodlines include White Lightning, Royal Fawn, Timoteo, Hemingway, Legacy, Mr President,Dracula, Donatello, Macusani, Bueno, Pachacuti,and Cahuide.
In our breeding program, we select herdsires that will improve the quality of fleece characteristics of our cria while always keeping in mind color and bloodline. Our goal is to improve both fineness and density.
