Welcome to Mica Glen Alpacas! We are located 8 miles south of the beautiful city of Coeur d’Alene in North Idaho. Our secluded forested ten acre farm is situated on Mica Flats at an elevation of 2,500 feet, and is 3 miles from the picturesque Mica Bay on Coeur d’Alene Lake.
Breeding alpacas since March of 2002, we began our herd breeding program with the acquisition of huacaya offspring from “4 Peruvian Legacy” ~ “6 Peruvian Accoyo Elite” ~ “PP Peruvian Augusto” ~ “Danko 523” and suri offspring from “Black Debut of Bolivia”. These bloodlines have enabled us to produce alpacas with strong confirmation and winning fleeces. Our alpacas have been shown and placed at Alpacapalooza, AOBA National Conference, Great Western Alpaca Show, Heart of the Valley and the Northwest Alpaca Showcase. As a small farm, our alpacas receive individual nutritional care and training.
Our farm store offers a fine selection of alpaca clothing products from the Alpaca Fiber Coop, the Red Maple Sportswear Company, and locally woven alpaca blankets and scarves. From our own alpaca fleeces, we offer raw fiber & roving for hand spinners, as well as yarn spun at a local mill.

Rochelle and Craig are excited to be part of the growing alpaca industry and welcome the opportunity to help others learn about the rewarding life style of owning and raising alpacas. Offering fair pricing and knowledgeable after-sales support to our customers is our primary goal. We enjoy farm visitors and the opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas with other alpaca enthusiasts.
Rochelle has extensive experience in the textile industry in the past 30 years, and is enjoying her work with alpacas and fiber. Rochelle runs the daily farm chores, feeding and caring for our alpacas, while spending time as a member spinning with the Log Cabin Spinners. Rochelle has some free time to knit and weave with alpaca fiber. Craig is employed by a national company, investigating auto theft and insurance fraud. During evenings and weekends, Craig assists Rochelle with many various farm chores and tractor work. Both Rochelle and Craig are active members of AOBA, ARI and the local Pacific Northwest Alpaca Association.
