Desert Mountain Alpaca Ranch is located in Hereford, AZ. We are a small ranch consisting of 10 acres. However, owning alpacas makes this type of acreage ideal. In 2005 we purchased our first 5 animals. At the end of 2005 we had our first crias born. We currently have 26 alpacas residing on the ranch. In 2006 we opened up our ranch store and online store at www.dmarstore.desertmtnalpacas.com. In 2009 we relocated it to our newly renovated garage now store. It looks amazing and is proving to be successful. In addition, we offer agistment, limited transportation in our 2008 18' Featherlite trailer for our local region, and since 2007 have been breeding and selling maremma livestock guardian dogs.
We believe in improving our herd with each generation, so we select our breedings to raise the quality of both conformation and fiber. Just take a look at our crias as proof. We are "hands-on" ranchers taking pride in that we "know" our alpacas. |
