We finally have Suris! We have 10 females & 3 herdsires. 1-True Black,1 Beige & 1 Light Fawn. We acquired them "open" and now they are ready to breed. Some are proven and some are maidens.
C2 Alpacas has been in the Alpaca business since 2004, and now, Christiann is a "full time" Alpaca rancher. We believe that you can get into this business without spending “high dollars”. Our program has proven that one can take an average female and carefully select the herdsire that has the qualities needed to improve that female. Our offspring are consistently in the ribbons including “Color Championships” & “Reserve Championships” not to mention several 1st and 2nd places. We breed all of our females as though we are planning on keeping them and improving our bloodlines. You can be assured that we will not sell a bred female with a less than desirable breeding.
We continuously attend seminars, read articles, listen to other breeders, and actively participate in Alpaca events. This allows us the opportunity to continue to learn about these wonderful creatures. This continuing education guides us in all our business decisions, breeding decisions, nutrition plans, and so on. We openly share this information with all our clients and will continue to do so. We will mentor and assist our clients any way possible. We are breeding for dark colored animals.
Our goal is to achieve the fleece quality of white Alpacas into the darker animals. We are getting there. Our herdsire “Aldabaron Juan” (Alvin) has 4 Color Championships to his credit. His average fleece score has been in the high 70’s, not too far from lighter colors.
