About Sanctuary's Alpaca Farm

Image is being processed by ANlocated in the hills of New Hampshire along the lower Connecticut River Valley. Here we delight in shepherding these winsome animals. Their health and welfare is our primary concern; therefore our farm has been growing slowly and thoughtfully over the last six years. We will stay small, but are well prepared to serve our customers.

Our breeding goals are toward healthy well conformed alpacas with uniform fleeces of exceptionally soft handle, high luster and fineness that is retained into older age. Attention is also given to improved density and staple length. Every breeding decision considers the welfare of the alpacas involved as well as the impact it may have on future generations.

Breeding matches have been carefully chosen to proven lineage, accumulating in a mix of genetics from Legacy, Augusto, Vengador, 3P White Lightning, Accoyo Elite, Hemingway, Bueno, Silverado and more. All are registered with ARI.

Though we concentrate on white and light colors, we're also happy when beautiful fleeces happen to come in darker shades. Whatever the color, we are pleased that our goal of fine, soft and lustrous fleece on every alpaca in the herd is being achieved. Consider getting your hands on some of the wonderful yarns and fleeces we offer to see tangible proof of the quality in these fleeces.

Visitors are welcome! Please email or call ahead to arrange a time.

Breeder Biography

Ron Sanctuary and his sister, Jamie Page, grew up in rural New Hampshire. Now, together with their familes, they're working toward retirement life on a small alpaca farm. Ron flew rescue helicopter for the Coast Guard and currently flies a corporate jet; Jamie was a stay-at-home mom and now manages the farm. They've been working with alpacas since 2002 and are extremely pleased with the way their small herd has developed.
