We are a small, full service farm offering both suri and huacaya alpacas for sale, as well as boarding, birthing and breeding services. We also offer a selection of fiber, yarn and alpaca apparel for sale. Our alpacas are all ARI registered and include many prize winners. We are members of AOBA, Mapaca, ARI and NJAC (New Jersey Alpaca Community).
We met our first alpaca, Vic while attending a seminar at an alpaca farm in Maryland about 6 weeks after reading a newspaper story about alpacas. We had no intention of buying anything that day. Not only was it very early on in our research but we had no farm - we lived on Staten Island, in New York City - and our alpaca budget was pretty much nonexistent. But there he was, and he had such beautiful fleece, perfect conformation and the most amazing face and eyes. Needless to say, by the time the seminar was over, Vic was the proud owner of two humans dedicated to giving him the best life an alpaca could have.
We started by boarding him with Hugh and Carol Masters of Serenity Alpacas, one of the first farms we had visited. We trained him under their expert guidance and entered him into the MAPACA show that spring. He did us proud winning four ribbons including reserve agility champion of the show.
That was in 1998. A lot has happened since then. We now live on a beautiful 7 ½ acre farm surrounded by mountains in historic Pohatcong in Western New Jersey. Our herd has grown to 20 alpacas. We also raise and sell organic herbs and vegetables.
Our dedication to giving Vic a great life has had an interesting side effect: We've given ourselves one too. We love introducing people to these wonderful animals and are very committed to providing full support to all our customers. |
