Willowbrook Farm is a vintage 20 acre farmstead in rural Miami County, conveniently situated just 20 minutes south of the Kansas City Metro. The farm is now home to a herd of beautiful huacaya alpacas.
We offer huacaya alpacas from high quality bloodlines in an array of colors from black to white. We have a diversity of bloodlines from the US and Canada - Hemmingway, Bueno, Legacy, White Out, Yupanqui and Auzengate to name a few. Our breeding program strives to find the best possible match of herdsire to dam to ensure continuing improvement of fleece characteristics with each generation, producing uniform, fine, dense fiber.
Producing healthy alpacas is of great concern to us. We routinely test our newborn crias for BVD and obtain IgG scores, providing us with valuable information on both dams and crias.
After shearing each year we carefully grade and sort our fiber to determine the best possible blends and weights to ensure the highest quality yarn possible. Our yarn is mill spun in Kansas to a very high standard. We are pleased to offer our beautiful yarn for sale too.
Far from our native Scotland, we maintain our Scottish values - hard work, honesty and integrity. We understand the value of support both before and after the sale and are happy to take the time to help our clients all we can. Our livestock background, and experience with breeding and raising alpacas can be of value to you as a new owner. We continue to take advantage of some of the great educational opportunities available and offer courses on the farm too. Our continuing education certainly helps us to make improvements each year in our husbandry which in turn impacts the bottom line! It is our pleasure to mentor new clients - let us help you too.
We welcome visitors any time - call us to schedule your visit. We'll give you a tour of the farm and tell you about alpacas, the growing industry in the USA.
