In 2004 we moved to our ranch at the height of snowstorm and mud season. We swept the porch, cleaned the carpets and never looked back. Several months later we moved our alpacas from their Colorado farms and began the great livestock adventure. On our ten acres at the base of South Mountain, east of Albuquerque, we believe farm diversity is important, so we also keep chickens and dairy goats for fresh eggs and milk. We also believe visitors are important, so give us a call. We'd love to show you our special place under the vast east mountain skies.
6th Annual East Mountain Fiber Farm and Studio Tour is just around the corner. Join us and ten other fiber farms/artists on Saturday and Sunday, 30 - 31 May 2009, from 10 am to 5 pm both days. This is a great event for the serious handspinner or as a family outing to the beautiful East Mountains. In addition to alpacas, this years tour will feature camels, sheep, goats and birds (feather fiber!).
The map and brochure for this year's tour will be available at our ranch website, www.milagromoonranch.com, by the end of April. |
