 Humming Herd Alpacas is a 60 acre farm located in Western NY, nestled among the rolling foothills of the beautiful Southern Tier. Having started in 2005, our focus from the beginning has been to maintain & produce top quality alpacas with all the fixins' (conformation, quality fleece, & gentle temperament). We started with some incredible stock & legendary genetics & have only improved from there! We're confident we'll be able to pass along amazing animals to you!
All of our females are bred to champion lines, including Bello Prophet - son of MFI Peruvian Jericho, A.L. Paca's J.D. Hawk - son of Avatar, Accoyo Pulitzer - son of PPeruvian Caligula G4572, Rumm Runner - 10x Champion son of DPA Quetzal, & grandson to PPeruvian Timoteo & MFI Peruvian Donovan, and Cal Thunder - son of ELR Peruvian Luciano (Cal's sister sold in the 2006 Futurity for $100,000.00!).
WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE the arrival of Pacifica's d'Peruvian Typhoon, a beautiful beige ACCOYO / ALIANZA herdsire. His fleece is dense, soft, with tight crimp & excellent handle. Pair these characteristics with his perfect conformation & a gentle personality & you've got a winner! In fact, he has placed in the top 3 in every event he has entered (12 so far), including RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION (class of 17) in 2005 & 3rd Place Get-Of-Sire at MAPACA JUBILEE 2008. NJ Atlantico's Sea Master IS ALSO NOW AVAILABLE on our farm, co-owned with Shawnee Alpacas. He is a beautiful black point grey son of Pacifica's d'Peruvian Seacrest, Get-of-Sire Winner, who produces consistent ribbon winners. Master's fleece picture speaks for itself!

We are open to the public for free farm tours most weekends throughout the year approximately 10am - 6pm. We love having boyscout / girlscout troops, schools, and other groups out for tours.
Our gift shop has extended holiday hours starting October through January to include weekdays 5pm - 8pm, weekends 9am - 8pm, and by appointment to accomodate busy holiday shopping schedules.
Our Open House schedule consists of: 4th of July weekend - come see our new babies this time of year, National Alpaca Farm Days, Last Weekend in September - come learn about the buisness end of owning alpacas, and Thanksgiving Weekend - get all of your holiday shopping done in one local, cozy gift shop and get your holiday picture taken with our "alpaca reindeer"!
We will be attending 5 alpaca shows this season (April - Sept) and some are local. We can give you more information and dates if you would like to stop by at one of the shows to learn more about that aspect of owning alpacas.
