Located on 14 acres in southeast Indiana, south of Richmond, on the east fork of the Whitewater River, Raging River Alpaca Farm was started using 4 acres of our front yard.
We process most of our raw fiber here at our farm. Blankets go into hand spun yarn which is used to make scarves, sweaters and etc. We use our fiber seconds to make felting items such as beautiful rugs. Ask us about our free spinning lessons. We provide alpacas for sale as breeding stock, fiber animals, and pets. Our alpacas do well in the show ring and in fiber shows. We are breeding for fiber and our ribbons show that we are moving in the right direction.
Free spinning lessions are offered with animal purchase as well as all the resources to get you started or help you continue in your alpaca venture.
Let us show you how to never again pay a stud fee.
We offer the complete package with excellent customer service with all registrations kept up to date.
We believe in the American Alpaca and our herd consists of Peruvian-(Accoyo), Bolivian, and Chilean bloodlines. Our philosophy is breeding for excellent fiber & physical characteristics to help create an outstanding U.S. herd. Being a small farm, we are able to provide each of our alpacas with excellent care and know each individually.
Our featured herdsire, Providence Francis is full Peruvian and half Accoyo. His sired crias are very nice. Our other herdsire, Leonette's Leon, who is the son of Peruvian Courvoisier with the famous Drambuie bloodlines has sired several crias with wonderful dark colors.
Steve is a retired food scientist and Barb is a RN working in mother/baby care. Our talents compliment each other in our alpaca venture.
Come visit our farm and talk about alpacas with us. We enjoy the alpaca lifestyle and want to share that with you. If we cannot provide a certain alpaca or service, we will point you in the right direction.
