We have been loving alpacas since 1997. Our goal is to create ultra fine fleeced alpacas. We now have four gorgeous SNOWMASS QUECHUA Grandsons, one Granddaughter, two Great Grandaughters one via the SNOWMASS MATRIX line with more on the way. Our first alpacas came from Snowmass Alpacas, who produce Royal and Baby fine fleeced alpacas. We are very grateful to have these superb genetics in our breeding program.
Alpacas are so gentle and have a compassionate, inquisitive nature especially around small children. Our children were involved in the 4-H program. Training Alpacas for obstacle courses, day hikes, parades, restorium visits and showmanship were part of the requirements. It has been a true blessing to have such excellent teachers.
Spinning the fleece into yarn has been quite a learning experience. Teddy Bears, dog beds, scarves, hats, gloves and socks are a few of the other creations we build on our farm.
We now have 28 alpacas grazing our pastures. Our main objective is to help improve the North American Alpaca herd, One Cria at a Time! Each year our cria improve with luster, crimp, density, consistancy, fineness and correct conformation all inclusive. Each year we become more and more awe struck by the amazing cria joining our herd.
