 R&R Alpaca Ranch is a 9.6 acre ranch located in Little Cypress, TX which is about as far as you can go East in Texas without crossing into Louisiana. We are just off of I-10; 35 miles from Lake Charles, LA to the east and 25 miles from Beaumont, TX to the west. Bob and I bought our first 2 alpacas in September 2004. They were near term pregnant females and delivered almost before the ink was dry on the contracts. To our delight, we had doubled our investment overnight with 2 female crias. We now have grown to 10 females and 4 males.
Our Mission is to breed for the highest quality alpacas with exceptionally fine, dense, crimpy bundled fleece, perfect bite, conformation and wonderful temperaments. We strive to keep up with all the latest methods of caring for and improving the quality of the North American Herd. With this knowledge and experience, we have been successfully raising and breeding our alpacas in the hot, humid Texas climate. Our herd includes Superior Genetics from these prepotent Herdsires: Hemingway, El Bello, Pachacuti, MFI Peruvian Providence and Peruvian Canadar. All are "Studmaster" males.
We have added additional sought after genetics from these well known Award-Winning Herdsires: 4Peruvian Legacy,Patagonia's Sinopsis Nocturna, Patagonia's Neruda,Peruvian Aladdin, CL9 Altair and Crescent Moon's Rainier.
These thoughtful breedings were chosen to further upgrade and enhance our breeding program and to meet our goal of producing the highest quality fleece possible for the North American market.
