At Kentucky Home Alpacas, we have been serious about breeding for fine fleece. For ten years, we have been breeding and selecting for fleece in the royal baby alpaca range, using world class Accoyo and Hemingway bloodlines. The addition of Snowmass Rembrant to our herd was the culmination of an exhaustive search for a herdsire with not only a fine histogram, but the proven ability to maintain a fine fleece with age.
More recently, we have also taken a foray into grey alpacas.
But now, it is time to bring our alpaca experience to an end. Because of the other demands of a busy lifestyle and a slow economy, we have placed very low prices on our alpacas. We hope to find good homes for them, with people who are in a position to buy low and wait for higher prices to return.
