 We are a US Army family living the alpaca dream. Currently stationed at Ft. Riley KS, we live in the small community of Wakefield about 2.5 hrs west of Kansas City. We take pride in serving our country while raising quality huacaya alpacas in a small farm setting. Each of our animals is handled daily and given personal attention. We keep our herd small due to the miltary moving as we move our animals each time we relocate to another duty station. So far we have survived 3 moves and one tour of duty in Iraq.
We have an outstanding multiple blue ribbon winning 1/2 Accoyo herdsire, W.D. Steiner, and are thrilled with the champion crias he is producing.
We also share our farm with 5 horses, 2 Pyrenees, 1 Turkish Kangal, our 4 little dogs, barn cats, Guineas and chickens.. Oh, and I can't forget Tessa, our Pygmy/Boer goat who thinks she's an alpaca and is queen bee around here.
