Nobility Alpacas, Ltd

Nobility Alpacas, Ltd is located on a 50 acre farm, which we purchased and have been restoring for the last 8 years. We always knew that we would have a farming business here and when we discovered Suri alpacas, we knew that they were the animals we wanted to raise. Since both my husband and I have medical backgrounds and experience with farm animals, we jumped right in and purchased 7 maidens, while hastily modifying spaces on our farm to accomodate them. We also co-own a beautiful, champion herdsire who has his first impressive cria on the ground. Our 3 daughters have also become involved with alpacas as well. We welcomed our first two cria last fall. NAL Baron LaFite's Philippe I arrived in September 2008 and has grown into a beautiful young male. He is dazzling white like his parents and has the classic Suri head and wonderful lock and luster of his sire. He is also a brave and curious guy and we so enjoy watching him explore the world on the farm. Our second cria arrived in the cold and wind but survived dazzlingly, partly due to a dazzling IgG of 1661!
Our third and fourth crias arrived in perfect unassisted births this spring and summer and we have one more due before the end of the year. We are learning more every day. We have been able to acquire several more maidens and have bred them to excellent herdsires for 2009 cria. We feel like we "jump-started" into this business and have felt a little overwhelmed at times, but are now seeing the wonderful benefits of purchasing investment quality alpacas.
I have also worked with fiber in the past, spinning, weaving, crocheting and knitting and am looking forward to renewing that passion with alpaca fiber.
