About Kriya Suri Alpacas

 After years of involvement with Egyptian Arabian horses, we decided that we would like to care for a smaller, even rarer animal and the Suri came into our lives. Our farm name which happens to rhyme with cria, a baby alpaca, seemed like the perfect definition that leads to our Suri commitment. Kriya is a Sanskrit word and the definition, loosely stated, is "an action or process made to purify the mind". What better way to purify the mind than to preserve and protect a herd of quality Suri alpacas with foundation pedigrees, solid conformation and the lustrous fleece that is winning in today's shows? Today's economic climate has brought prices down, making investment in quality animals most inviting. Now is the time to purchase! |

Elite genetics including full Accoyo herdsires Bruxo, Crown Royale, Inca, Jackpot, Torbio, Ganador and Uribe (Duranzo) are a sampling of the Accoyos included in our breeding program. Add the color genetics of highly regarded Magnifico, Meteor and Condor for shades of gray, black, brown and fawn. Always matching sires and dams with the goal of producing animals that meet the Suri Breed Standard, our primary focus is fiber quality on a conformationally sound animal. Our intent is to stay a small, quality focused farm and we will eventually be based in NC.
We moved from the horse breeding arena with the firm belief that high quality dams are just as important as the sires. Dams such as Pperuvian Augustina, DDF MacGyver's dam, 6P Accoyo Kay, 6P Accoyo Luna, Pperuvian Rita, DDF Gracie, Silkworm, DDF Topanga and Arizona Sage are a sampling of the female genetics currently included in our program.
The support system available from ARI, AOBA, AFCNA, The Alpaca Foundation, The Suri Network and regional and local organizations are second to none in the livestock production industry. Whether you come to the alpaca lifestyle as a novice or from another livestock program, you have everything needed to succeed. Chee brings 35 years in international, national and regional event production that continues today with True Productions in Atlanta, GA to our alpaca commitment. Sherry's lifetime love and involvement in Egyptian Arabian horses lead us to the unique Suri. In the future, our Suri lifestyle will be based in NC as a family business. Life is good!
